The description of this forum says complete nonsense. Forgive me for posting this, but, I have two grievances to air.
1) Why does everyone use abbreviations in forums and message boards? Is it really that tough to type a whole word?
2) What the hell is with all the vampires on TV and in movies? Vampires are really not that cool.
Finally, to make this about recording: who else is looking forward to AES?

My first post made me sound like an idiot, I just needed to vent. In all seriousness, I'm really excited about this board. I follow the TapeOp and Sound on Sound boards regularly, and I'm excited to have found a new community of like-minded people. I wish us all the best of luck, and I hope this becomes the new standard of intelligent conversation about audio; it's about g**damn time.

The abbreviations do get confusing. "ATM" can mean a couple different things...some harmless, some disgusting...
Vampires are significantly cooler than this (http://www.fox.com/glee/).
