Ronnie James Dio died today, sucks! I was lucky enough to see him perform with Heaven and Hell once. The Mexican and I were supposed to see them at the sonisphere festival this summer. we found out only a little bit ago Heaven and Hell wouldn't be performing because of Dio's stomach cancer. I read a bunch of articles on it and it seemed like people around him were optimistic he would beat the cancer. Who knows if anything I read was true or not, i did find it on the internet. I do know though that Dio doesn't get enough credit for his accomplishments and contributions to the music world. He had an unmistakable vocal, from Rainbow to Sabbath and his solo records he always entertained. I hope they do some type of dedication to him at the festival.
