IZOTOPE?

Those guys are local to Boston, and I think Ted from there - hangs around our forum.

Maybe Its worth an email to them to find out the differences between versions.

I would suggest your probably not going to find too many answers around here, given the forums main premise, as we are less gear/plug centric and more about the actual process and technique behind the tools!!! Maybe try it out and report back to us? That's always the only way. I mean, software is WAY easier to demo than hardware!!!!!

Tell us how your using it, what kind of result your looking to get out of it. Maybe you'll get some helpful answers that push you forward rather than behind.

How's it going down?

What kind of processing are you finding helpful? I have been doing most of my mixes ITB I like the UA stuff I have a Quad card ,Also using TDM plugs Massenburg EQ Rocks. UA compressors Rock 1176,LA2a,Fairchild. The
Mcdsp filter is a go to plug . The UA EMT 250 and EMT 140 are Heavily used
Anyways after it all sounds ready for print I stem the session out to my Toft ATB for slight EQing and I have Inserts Via patch bay on all track so I can run Analog 1176's la2a's on drums,Voc ect. Then record a 2 track stereo into pro tools then run the 2 track stereo back out to a Fern -20 pad then threw a Fern VT-2 and stereo la2a's back into pro tools for finial print Is this excessive?
maybe I don't know seems to come out good most the time. I can say with out a doubt the Analog gear makes the ITB mixes much Better takes the thinness out ad's warmth and punch. I was Honored recently by landing the gig of remixing the Latest Jackson 5 CD called "Masters" I was co engineer for the Chief engineer for Motown Records (1960's-1970's) Russ Terrana
The tracks where straight from the valts and never released. A total of 16 tracks per song straight off the Reel to Reel's. Its amazing how 20pc orchestra would be on 1 track and sound so good with depth. They where really good Engineers. They used fully automated Neve boards. Russ had some really KOOL stories :) ROCKERSTUDIOS.COM
