Roberto Delle Curti's subwoofer is the biggest of the world. Under the floor of his audio room Roberto has designed in a house in the Varese province a base system that call-up audiophile people all throughout the world. Music base pumps up from the bottom of the floor through the gates. "To listen to the real natural sound of the audio system I have realized people come from Russia, USA, Sweden and elsewhere", Roberto said - 55 years old, musician and audio engineer. The base chamber is built with sixteen 18" (48 cm) woofers and the frontal system is made up with 22 Royal Device Laura MK3 speakers. Speakers and the amplifing system are designed and realized by himself. The comments left on its web, from people who went to listen to, recognizes it as the best audio system in the world. All the technical specifications are on the web at www.royaldevice.com/custom.htm where from we got the images that witness the works made for the realization (Franco Vanni from "La Repubblica").

All that money on a giant horn-loaded sub and hi-fi gear and he uses MI-grade hardware in his studio? Any ideas on what those mics are that are hanging by their cables over the drum kit?

That almost looks like an RE-20... Except it seems a bit too small.

The world's smallest RE-20!:D

I was thinking some sort of tube mic, since the connectors look bigger than regular xlr's.
