A bud of mine actually asked for a price quote once; if I remember correctly, it's a couple grand or so a day.

Years ago (like, twenty five or so) I used to get my vinyl cut there by this old geezer called Harry (can't remember his last name) who used to smoke a nosewarmer pipe.

One time a friend of mine and I were in the canteen and there were these two strange young lads running around in sailor suits. We were trying to figure out who they were and someone said "that's the Pet Shop Boys". :)

I consider Abbey Road a British institution... I would hope someone would buy it who'll keep the place running, but that seldom happens.

The news ticker on CNN this morning said that EMI is not selling Abbey Road. Let's hope it's true.

I found this after hearing a few seconds of an interview yesterday about this very subject. The guest speaker ( not sure who) described in detail what his opinions were on the downfall (his words) of quality sounding records as well...
