I just wanted to say hello to everyone here. You may know me from Gearslutz already. I am a Michigan-based small studio owner, engineer, producer, recordist, drummer, keyboardist, cable de-tangler, knob-tweaker, jack-of-all-trades.

So hello to everyone and here's my recording technique tidbit for the the day. Try putting an SM57 or other (disposable) microphone into a condom (non-lubricated type :P) and submerge it into water or some other liquid. Fishbowls work well for this. Or a large drinking glass. You can get some really sweet "underwater" sounds this way. I've used it on everything from electric guitar recording to vocals.
That's a pretty common one that im sure some of you have either read about or done in the past, but i will rack my brain soon for some other interesting techniques that i've used.
