Is an ISDN line something I should invest in?

I've just recieved a call from a talent that needs to do VO work to Vancouver and asked about an ISDN line. Is that still whats going on, or have people moved to other technologies. I don't anticipate a lot of this type of work, fwiw.

Also, I just started our recording business a year ago. I have been a live guy for a while and decided to make a career move. :cool: Anyway, thats why I posted this here. Thanks in advance!

I'm quite surprised you'd get an inquiry like that in this day and age. Most of the time there'll either be an FTP facility, you'll be asked to squirt the data over as an attachment via hotmail/gmail/whatever or they'll want you to log in to some filesharing website.

So my advice is - in view of the much cheaper alternative technologies which are proliferating today - don't shoot your money at it. Ask them for the link to their FTP server.

For data transfer, it's completely obsolete, but it's still in use for remote VO sessions.
